Thomas Starr King MS, through our collaboration with Verizon and Digital Promise, a national education technology non-profit, is preparing to send brand new iPads home with all of our students this September. This is an initiative that puts technology in the hands and homes of our students, helping us toward our vision of an innovative and exciting learning environment for every student, at no cost to King families.
Through this program, we are able to equip every student and teacher at King with an iPad and a two-year data plan. In addition to free technology and access, Verizon Innovative Learning Schools receive teacher training, support, and the opportunity to engage in a unique curricula that leverages technology in their classrooms.
Parent and guardian involvement is crucial to the success of this initiative.
