College Awareness Workshop

It is important that parents and families be part of the process to build a college-going culture, and that connections are made between schools and students’ families and their community. We believe that college begins here at King – so we would like to work with our parents to:

*   Expand their experience with the different types of higher education and the possibilities for secondary education

*   Dispel the belief that it is too expensive for their children to attend and examine the route to financial aid

*   Gain information about college readiness and the preparation they need to support the dreams they have for their children

We will have guest speakers from the district, hear the experience of  King teachers, and examine the resources available to parents.
