Beautification

Breezeway benches are in!

Almost 2 years ago, a group of King parents led by Tomas O’Grady and Enrich LA volunteered their time and sweat to build benches for our students socializing and hanging out in the breezeway during breaks or after school. The group was waiting for the breezeway gates and locks to be installed before moving the benches in. Last Thursday (Jan 27th), current and former King parents and driving forces behind our school’s beautification, Renae Plant, Livinio Stuyck, Louise Leach and Juan Longfellow came to school to install the benches, which were immediately put to good use by our Kingsters!

Thank you Tomas O’Grady, Renae Plant, Livinio Stuyck, Louise Leach, Juan Longfellow, and all the King parents who participated in the welcome area project and made this huge improvement possible!

Lion’s head up in the breezeway!

King’s lion head is now up in the breezeway! Kudos to an incredible team of volunteers who worked tirelessly over the past 3 years to make King blue and beautiful. Special thanks to Camelot Kids, mastermind designer, Oscar Varela/Atwater Art Company, and “master Yoda” Mr Noel Strachman/Noel Welding Industries in Chatsworth for bringing this vision to life.
